Are You Stressed? Forget About It!

Who feels overworked, please put up your hand? Who feels like there just aren't enough hours in the day?

I'm sure the majority of you would put up your hand for at least one of these questions, if not both. We all live busy and hectic lifestyles nowadays. As the responsibilities pile up and our schedules take us from place to place we have a tendency of getting caught up in it all. Stress begins to build and our body's start to reflect our anxieties. Some people experience lack of appetite, others feel chest pains, stomach cramps and other physical ailments.

Why do we do this to ourselves? Life is far too short to let it fly by without appreciating everyday that we're alive! This reality truly hit home a few years ago when a friend of mine died at a very young age in a car accident. At that point I realized that I wasn't invincible like I thought I was. Understand that life can be taken from you at any moment and to live your last hours stressing is not the way that you'd want to go!

When dealing with stressful situations try to focus only on the things that you have control over. There is no point in stressing over whether or not you'll get the interview or if you did well on your exam. It will get you nowhere and will only give you a killer headache! Instead, use that mental energy on building your confidence and focus on solutions. Think of creative ways to make yourself stand out at an interview and find as many sources of information and/or guidance as possible that will help you achieve the results that you are looking for.

Remember if it's out of your control then just forget about it and move on! Life's challenges will only make you stronger so embrace change and watch yourself begin to grow!
